How the
Fast Form
System works
The
Fast Form System
comes with everything needed to begin placing concrete at the
job site. Complete with
engineered welded wire reinforcing steel
and perimeter casting form which is designed and built to specifications as required by the application. More that just a
form, everything needed means everything. If a door opening is needed, then the actual
door or window frame can be built into the panel.
Electrical
can also be added, such as conduit
and boxes, when the application calls for
electrical, telecommunication and alarm runs and outlets. The
Fast Form
System
"panels" are built in the Fast Form International manufacturing facilities to
exacting specifications for rebar placement and close tolerances on the
perimeter casting form shape and electrical requirements. The panel dimensions
can be manufactured to 14' by 40' (4 m by 12 m) and up to 12" (300 mm) thick.
The perimeter form is manufactured from heavy gauge steel and using a patent
pending attachment is welded to reinforcing steel and other metal hardware as
required by the application.
Because the
rebar and perimeter form are manufactured into a single unit - the "panel" -
there are no requirements for labor and cost intensive assembly of truckloads of
individual components. The
Fast Form
System
panel is delivered to the casting site and once the bond breaker is is applied
to the casting bed, the form is ready for concrete placement. After the
concrete placement is complete, the form stays on the panel and is a permanent
part of the wall.
After the
concrete is cured, it is lifted into place and secured to flooring, surrounding
walls and/or roofing structure. The concrete placement, finishing, panel
handling and installation are based on time tested
tilt-up construction principles and processes.
On-site crew
sizes are drastically reduced and supporting scaffolding requirements with
traditional masonry are non-existent, which results in proportionate increases
in cash flow. See our
